Paul and Denise

 March 13, 1967

Denise Werneck always seemed to be able to get the best posed photos with Paul.    I always thought they looked cute together.   For those of you who might not know,  Denise was one of Lizzie Bravo's close friends that came to London from  Brazil slightly before Lizzie got there.

It was hard to post this photo knowing that Lizzie is not going to comment on it.   I am not sure if Lizzie took this photo or not.  Does anyone know?  I am trying to label the ones that she took properly.

The birth of a Beatles fan

Look at the date stamped on this photo:  February 1964.   The boy is holding the single for "I wanna hold your hand."   He is hooked.

Paul's letter to Jean

This letter and record from 1962 that Paul McCartney sent to a fan named Jean is up for auction through the Darlington Auction House later this month.   How fun it must have been to have been a Beatles fan during those early days when the lads would write back to you.

Mod Beatles fan

How much do you love this photo of the Beatles girl?   She is sitting on her couch in light blue knee socks and cat eye glasses with a Beatles guitar pin on her shirt.   She is listening to the Beatles on the record player with her Beatle dolls on top!   This girl was so cool!

Record shopping in the early 1980s

My guess would be that this photo was taken after John's death and is in early 1981, when there was a splurge of new Beatles fans and a need for selling more Beatles albums.   From how I see it, this is when I think Beatles fandom when up in numbers:

1964:  When the Beatles came to America
1974:  10th year of the Beatles and rumors of Beatles reunion
1981:  John's death
1995:  Beatles Anthology
2000:  Beatles 1 release
2009:  Beatles Rock Band
2014:  Beatles 50th Anniversary of Beatles in America (hope so!)

So this is just my opinion.   There might be other smaller spikes in fandom (maybe in 1987 when the Cds were first released)  And I am not sure if the Beatles Rock Band really showed a big spike in fandom  or not.  It would be interesting to see record sales for these time periods.    Did you become a fan around the time of these events?
