The most notorious day in divorce court

March 17, 2008 -  Paul's lawyer did not have good luck on St. Patrick's day in 2008.  During the divorce court proceedings, Heather Mills dumped a water pitcher over her head.    Heather said that she had heard the lawyer say something under her breath, and she simply "snapped"  and dumped the jug over her head.

Your Mother Should Know

 Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms out there.  I know the U.K. celebrated this day a few months ago, but I am in the United States and so I celebrate today.   Of course, I think Mothers should be celebrated all year.    

I wanted to share photos of the Moms (or Mums if you will) that are part of the Beatles' story because they were/are romantically involved with one of the guys and either had a child with that guy or had children before meeting him (or in Jane / Maureen's case -- after).    I tried to get all of the children with their mothers, but I wasn't able to find everyone.  I know that I am missing a few of the kids.

Look who is now 18!

October 28, 2003 -- B. McCartney was born today!  18 years have gone by so far and B has grown to be a creative, artistic, and unique person.   Best wishes to B for a great year!  

The Concert for New York City - 20 Years Apart

Paul and Colin Powell

When I read that former Secretary of State, Colin Powell passed away today, I thought about the time Paul McCartney met with him.   It was April 19, 2001.  Paul and Heather met with Colin Powell to discuss land mines.

No idea what the next day was going to bring...

 

September 10, 2001 -- The Redbook awards on Monday, September 10 was part of the reason why Paul was in New York City during that time.   He had planned on leaving and going back to England on September 11.  No one knew that the world was about to drastically change.
