Boxing Day Party

December 26, 1963 -

Did John give Julian that big Panda bear those fans gave The Beatles earlier in December to Julian for Christmas?

Three dolls

I am looking to find the four girls that made these Beatles dolls.   The four girls were from a fan club in Ohio but gave them to the Beatles during the press conference in Atlanta in 1965.     If anyone knows any more about this or where I can get a good photograph to use in my book, I would appreciate the help.

The All you need is love dolls

More information on these cute "All you need is Love" dolls has surfaced thanks to former Apple Boutique employee, Jeni Crowley.    Here is what she posted on facebook about them:

They were made by The Fool and they represented all 4 Beatles in one doll. George's ears, John's glasses, Ringo's nose and Paul's moustache. When the shop opened, they sat in the shop windows and when the shop closed for good I got one large & one small male doll, (it was called Clarence, but I don't know why) and a large & small female version Clarissa (Red hair, like Jane Asher, etc.)

The best gift ever

This is sweet.   Someone got a Beatles doll as a gift and she is happy about it.   I personally think those dolls are a bit on the creepy side, but you better believe if I was a kid in 1964, I would have wanted a John Lennon one!

Mod Beatles fan

How much do you love this photo of the Beatles girl?   She is sitting on her couch in light blue knee socks and cat eye glasses with a Beatles guitar pin on her shirt.   She is listening to the Beatles on the record player with her Beatle dolls on top!   This girl was so cool!

Apple Action

I love any and all photos from the Apple Boutique.   But I especially love the Sgt. Pepper dolls!   I am not sure how many were made, but I sure wish I had one.

This is uhhh..interesting....

I am not exactly sure what to say about this photo.  This is a fan who made these large Beatles dolls in 1964 and is posing with them at a carnival.   It is amazing some of the things fans did.
