The future's so bright in those suits

I have this photo of Rory Storm and the Hurricanes labeled as May 30, 1960.   That is 60 years ago!  Were those suits really popular 60 years ago?  I understand they were for the stage and you want to be in bright colors when performing.  Yet I still think the color of the Hurricanes suits are cringy

The Hurricanes

I wish I could have seen Rory Storm and the Hurricanes perform.   I understand that they put on one heck of a show.    There is a mark in the Cashbah ceiling from where Rory once hit his head really hard from jumping around all of the time.   Ringo is in this photo, but you can only see his drums and not him---but he did autograph the back of the photo along with the other members of the band.

A really early Ringo fan

I don't know about the rest of you blog readers, but sometimes I forget that Ringo was in a very popular band in Liverpool before he joined the Beatles. There is a reason why the others wanted Ringo to be in the band, and that is because he was a well known and established drummer in Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. Here you see Ringo as a member of the Hurricanes signing an autograph for a fan. Oh I wonder what THAT autograph is worth today? I hope she still has it!
