I recognize that jacket!

 

I am sure all week you have been reading deep, wonderful thoughts fans around the globe have had about the Now and Then 12-minute documentary and song.    When I am typing this (Wednesday night), I have just watched the little documentary but the song has not been released.  By the time this post is published on the site, we all will have heard the song.

Maybe I will have something amazing to say about it soon, but here is my first thought as I watch the little documentary -- "Hey!  I know that jacket George is wearing.  He wore it at the Billboard Music Awards in 1990!"   Yep -- same jacket!

I am sure no one else has THAT to point out about the Now and Then documentary.

Hope you all had a good fire prevention week

 

Fire prevention week was from October 4-October 11.  I hope you all remained safe and healthy.   The Beatles here are in Indianapolis in 1964 helping to spread the word about fire safety.

There is SO much that I love about this one.   First of all, it is John Lennon and he is wearing his fabulous flower jacket (which is on display at the R&R Hall of Fame) and second is the look on the face of the girl behind him.    I little bit of "I can't believe I am standing next to John Lennon."   on her face, don't you think?

Magical Mystery Coats

I knew John had a coat like this and George had one---but here is the first I have ever seen of Ringo wearing one!

Marilyn Jacket

During the mid 1970's Ringo was frequently seen wearing this satin jacket with Marilyn Monroe on the sleeves.    I guess he decided that he didn't want it any longer because it was recently sold at his auction.     I hope whoever has it now gives it a place of honor.

This photo just make me melt.   It isn't even in color and yet we know that John is wearing his "Walrus" multi-colored coat.    And he just looks so cute.   I am going to have to stop my professional act and go a little fan girl on you all for just a moment.   EEEEEEK!
