I recognize that jacket!

 

I am sure all week you have been reading deep, wonderful thoughts fans around the globe have had about the Now and Then 12-minute documentary and song.    When I am typing this (Wednesday night), I have just watched the little documentary but the song has not been released.  By the time this post is published on the site, we all will have heard the song.

Maybe I will have something amazing to say about it soon, but here is my first thought as I watch the little documentary -- "Hey!  I know that jacket George is wearing.  He wore it at the Billboard Music Awards in 1990!"   Yep -- same jacket!

I am sure no one else has THAT to point out about the Now and Then documentary.

Joe Wisbey posted this photo in the "Nothing is Real" group on Facebook along with the information that Geoff Wonfor, who directed The Beatles Anthology, has passed away.    The Beatles Anthology is still a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned.  Sorry to hear that he is no longer with us.

Happy Anniversary to Ringo and Barbara -- celebrating 41 years!

 

This photo is from November 21, 1995, during the time that Ringo's daughter was in the hospital because of a brain tumor.  Ringo called off the remaining dates on the All-Starr Band Tour that year to be with her (which stupidly made some people mad at Ringo -- it was his daughter for goodness sakes!  He did the right thing!).   I think this is a lovely photograph of the couple and it is a reminder of how much these two have gone through together during the past 41 years.

Lately I have been really loving "Threetle" photos and thinking about what a wonderful time it was to a Beatles fan in the mid-1990s.

This photo was taken at Paul's studio in 1995 when Sean and Yoko came to listen to "Real Love" after the three Beatles had finished recording it with John's vocals.    I know that Linda and Yoko were never friends, but it is nice that they could get together and be friendly with one another.
