Ringo and Jane

There aren't any photographs of Paul and Jane after 1968, but here is a lovely photo of Ringo and Jane from 1986 (with Pattie Boyd in the background).    I think it is lovely that when they saw each other at this event, they spoke and posed for a photograph.

Please do not go all Jane crazy on me in the comments.   I just wanted to share a lovely photograph of Ringo and Jane that I didn't think many of you have seen before.

Ringo's emergency surgery

 April 1979

During the last week of April 1979, Ringo was rushed to the hospital while he was in Monte Carlo. During emergency surgery, Ringo almost didn't make it.  He had 5 feet of intestines removed.  These photos were taken shortly after he was released from the hospital.

Beatles, Hippies and Hell's Angels: Inside the Crazy World of Apple - A Film review

When you watch a Beatles documentary on Amazon Prime, you never know what you are getting yourself into.  However, I stumbled upon a great one recently:  Beatles, Hippies, and Hell's Angels Inside the Crazy World of Apple.

As the title suggests, the 50-minute documentary is all about Apple and the goings-on that happened there from 1967-1971.   Many insiders were interviewed and gave their thoughts about Apple including Tony Bramwell, Steve Maltz, Chris O'Dell,  Leslie Cavendish, Anne Nightengale, Ray Connely, and many others.   Hearing their first-person accounts about the wild days at Apple were interesting and insightful.   Several stories I don't recall ever hearing before were told and most of them made me laugh.

One of the Hell's Angels who met George Harrison in 1968 and came over for the infamous Christmas party at Apple that year narrates the story and tells things from his point of view, which interestingly is way different than what I have read in books.

The story begins with the death of Brian Epstein and ends with Allen Klein and how he fired everyone and took over.   It goes into detail about the Apple Boutique and there are claims that Yoko is to blame for it closing down and everything being given away.  Of course things being taken from Apple wasn't new with the Apple Boutique because an entire car went missing and has never been found!  Crazy stuff going on!

A lot of rare photographs were shown during the doc, including photographs taken by fans.  This was a really nice, quick overview of Apple. If you have Amazon Prime, you need to watch it.  Otherwise, consider renting it from Amazon, you will enjoy it!
