 October 31, 1967 -  Paul films The Fool on the Hill.    I love his look during this time.

This is the photo that Paul McCartney's people sent out to his fan today.    Even wearing a full face mask, we all know it is Paul -- I mean just look at those eyes.

The Fool with a passport

 

October 30, 1967 -

Just like Ringo in June 1964, Paul traveled without a passport and got away with it due to being a Beatle.  When he and Mal (and someone else that I can't recall off the top of my head) traveled to Nice, France, to film "The Fool on the Hill" for Magical Mystery Tour, Paul didn't bring anything with him.  No money.  No passport.   And he told the people at customs something along the lines of "You know who I am.  Why do you need to see a passport with my photo on it?"  True enough.   He was let it and filmed "Fool on the Hill," secretly exposing himself to everyone in the process, but that is a story for another time.

 I hope many of you are enjoying the Super Deluxe Revolver boxset as much as I have been!  A new  Beatles music release is always exciting!   Someone posted this awesome Beatles advertisement that is currently in Time Square!   I love that it is 2022 and The Beatles are still relevant.   I love these four photos from the "Butcher" photo session.   I especially like Ringo.   

So if you find yourself in NYC soon, make sure to say "hi" to The Beatles.

Nothing makes me as happy as seeing photographs of John Lennon that I have never seen before. It is amazing that after all these years, we STILL see "new" shots. I love these. John was looking good!

Does anyone know what Paul is doing in this photo / where it was taken?   He is holding something that is signed by both him and Linda, but I can't make out what else it says.

These photos are a little difficult to see, knowing the history and that they were taken not too long before Ringo and Barb hit rock bottom and checked into rehab for alcoholism.    But -- what caught my eye is Ringo's jacket.   Doesn't it look like the 1966 green suit jacket that Ringo wore frequently?
