That's silly. He and Jane were a couple over 50 years ago. People are not the same after that many years. For starters, he is vegetarian and she is not. Its ridiculous to think that they would want to get together. Like John said it's like going back to school. Be happy for him and Nancy. And for Jane and Gerald.
It's got nothing to do with vegetarianism. Why would Jane, who is happily married, even want to be with a man who so famously humiliated her. Obsessive Beatles fans have subjected Jane to cheap speculation and unwanted comparisons with the flawless Linda for over 50 years.
