This photo and story was sent to me through email by Ed Dieckman. He took this photo when he met George Harrison on February 23, 1988 when George was on a television show in the Netherlands called "Countdown."

It
was a thrill seeing a real Beatle in the flesh, I can tell you! After
he'd taped his contribution to the show, a limo took him to Amsterdam -
me and two friends followed the car and when the car pulled over at a
gas station, the driver came up to ask us what we wanted (he'd already
noticed he was being followed by us), so we said we just wanted some
autographs, he took our items to the limo and sure enough everything
came back nicely autographed. A pity I didn't get the chance to speak to
him and thank him for the great music he'd given us through the years,
but this was for me a historical day anyway.
