Was able to scan a larger version of this photo that I have only had in a very small size for many years. I can now make out the Playbill in Yoko's hand and I see that the Lennon went to see the Broadway play called No Man's Land. An online search tells me that this play was set in North West London (no wonder they went to see it.) And it only ran on Broadway from November 8, 1976 through December 18, 1976, so that really narrows down the date for this photo. Interestingly enough, this same play is scheduled to make a revival on Broadway this fall.
