Oh Darling!

 September 3, 2022 -- Paul McCartney plays during the Taylor Hawkins tribute show.  For the first time ever, he performs Oh Darling!   He had Chrissie Hynde come up and sing most of it because he has to realize that he cannot hit the notes, but it is still really amazing that he performed it at all.   Helter Skelter was the other song he performed.   

Thoughts and prayers for the family, friends and fans of Taylor Hawkins

 

So sad to learn of the passing of drummer, Taylor Hawkins.    Taylor was the drummer for Alanis Morissette and most famously for the Foo Fighters.   He was only 50 years old.   

Paul McCartney is friends with Dave Grol and so he got to know all of the members of the Foo Fighters.  Taylor was one of the people  along with Beck and Paul that weren't allowed into that party a few years back and Paul asked, "How more VIP do we need to be?"   Ringo posted a tweet with his condolences.

Always such a sad time when a musician passes away unexpectedly.   My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and fans right now.
