Cut your hair for peace

 January 13, 1970

One thing I discovered while writing my Fan Club Book was how upset some of John and Yoko's fans were when they saw the photographs of John and Yoko with super short hair in early 1970.   The reason why they were upset was that just a few months earlier, they talked about "Hair Peace" and "Grow Your Hair for Peace," and then, out of nowhere, they both cut their hair to really, really short styles.   Those fans who were upset felt like the couple was being hypocritical.  In 1970, hair length was a significant topic of discussion and even if fans weren't upset about the new haircut, they were shocked.  

Why John was NOT at the last Beatles sessions....
