I spent a semester in college studying abroad in Bath, England and made a special trip to London near the end of the semester to see the Abbey Road studios and cross the zebra crossing. Thirty years later I can't remember the exact date, but it would have been in May. I even walked into the lobby of the studios which you could do at that time. Of course, I had no knowledge of the Anthology project, but I was evidently close to a McCartney encounter which would have definitely blown my mind then and now. Wow.
Looks like George getting out of the car..maybe wrong

ReplyDeleteNo, that's not George, but John Hammel, Paul's driver, in the Mercedes.
ReplyDeleteI thought I had put a label for John Hammel -- oops.
DeleteGeorge did have a mercedes just like that from 1984 to 2000..look at the Real Love video..same motor
ReplyDeleteIf you're thinking of the car at Hog Hill Mill, where George gets out holding a kettle, that's Paul's.
