So I was stupid—really, really stupid—and I don't need anyone to scold me or give me advice. Let me just say that a guy named Blake St. Clair sold me the above photo. I sent him the money, but never received the photo. He has totally disappeared. There were red flags, and I ignored them. I know what I did wrong. But really, who is wrong here?
I have been sitting on this since February and decided the best thing I can do is spread this photo of John and Cynthia across the internet and hope that every Beatle fan everywhere sees it. So when Blake St. Clair tries to sell it again to someone else, it isn't a "rare unseen" photo—it is something that everyone has seen and no one will want to buy it.
eBay sellers, do your thing, which annoys me and is completely illegal: Take the photo from this site, slap your watermark on it, and sell it for $10.
Beatle influencers - share it on Instagram, TikTok, X, and wherever else you hang out.
Let's spread this photo far and wide so everyone gets sick of seeing it. Let's spread it so much that someone recognizes the fan in the photo, and we learn who she is.
On a related note -- I think this photo is from December 1967 or January 1968 -- what are your thoughts?
I totally agree with you Sara!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right about the photo dating to about Dec. 1967, but I can't find anything to pinpoint the event. John and Cynthia look a lot the same as they did while in Paris for the Beach Boys concert. If not fall '67 in London it could also be during the New Years '68 holiday to Morocco?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the photo. I posted it on FB. Sorry to hear about your ordeal!
Thanks! Things happen I hadn't been ripped off by anyone in a sale in over a decade, so I figured I was due.
DeleteI thought John looked a lot like he did during the Magical Mystery Tour fan club party in December of 1967 but with Cynthia there, it very well could be Morocco. That is why I thought December 1967 or January 1968. If only we knew the girl in the photo!
