40 years ago John traveled to South Africa.

  1. I never understood why, as soon as John received the freedom to travel worldwide, that he never returned to the The United Kingdom. I would have thought that that would have been his first destination. (MarkZapp)

  2. Never saw the third one. Nice but a little strange. Doesn’t really look like John even though he could sure change his appearance.
Not sure, Mark Zapp, but methinks John wanted to go back in triumph rather than incognito. There’s evidence to support it, but that doesn’t make it fact. Supposedly with Double Fantasy, success especially in England meant quite a lot to him.

  3. He said he was going to visit Aunt Mimi in 1980 but sadly did not

  4. As I've read/heard over the years, I think John was planning to travel to England first thing in the new year of 1981. Such a pity from what we all know that he never made it. I think he rang his aunt Mimi on December 6...
