the Sam Houston Coliseum

The Beatles in Houston is just one of those venues that we have a lot of information on, which is awesome.     The Houston show was the first Beatles concert bootleg I remember hearing and I loved it!   John was losing his voice and sounded terrible, but at the same time it sounded like he was having so much fun.    There is a book about the Beatles in Houston.  It is called Beatles '65 and was written by Joe Tunzi.

  1. Those concerts are literally painful to listen to! Just because of John's voice! I literally hold my neck in sympathy!!! How that guy could sing Dizzy Miss Lizzy, or Twist and Shout, with such a raw throat....ouch!!!!!

    Fantastic pics, as always!!!

  3. Just want to remind everyone about the amazingly beautiful blog Fab4Mania that Sara wrote about some time ago....

    http://fab4mania.blogspot.com/

.August 20, 1965 was the show she had tickets to see....and the blog is going to be taken down on Labor Day. There is a heartbreaking "reveal" that I won't talk about here but I'm sure she could really use hearing from anyone who appreciated the blog.

I'm looking forward to her book, whenever it comes out!

  4. Once again, you've discovered incredible documentation so needed by researchers. What you've collected is unequaled. Can't wait to read the blogspot article. Thank you for all you do, Sara! Jude (Southerland Kessler)
