Did you happen to see Ringo on the Ellen Show today? Thanks to my mom, I got to see it. I have to confess that I am not a fan of Ellen. I have never found her humor to be very funny. And so I can't really saw that I have ever watched the entire Ellen talk show. For the most part, I enjoyed seeing Ringo's interview. I think some of the questions Ellen asked were predictable, but then I have to remember that not everyone watching daytime talk shows are Beatlemaniacs. My favorite part was when Ringo stood up and did his imitation of John playing the guitar. That was so funny!!!
We get the Ellen show on cable here in Rio but it's delayed. I'll have to find out when we get to see Ringo. Like you, I'm not crazy about her. I can't quite tell you what it is, but she doesn't sound "real" to me...
ReplyDeleteit was such a pleasure to see Ringo again - he has always seemed the most comfortable and down to earth of the lads when interviewed - and he looks great!
ReplyDeletenever watch ellen but was at my sis' yesterday who had just switched channels and who pops up a couple minutes later but Gorgeous Ringo - I think when I screamed she might have gotten a little deaf
ReplyDeleteInteresting connection between the two; Portia, Ellen's wife, is the former girlfriend of Ringo's step daughter. Also, Ellen is a lifelong Beatle fan.
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Ellen! (hehe) I haven't seen the full interview yet, but I know Ringo can be ornery to some interviewers, so it's good to see him so happy and relaxed! (he was particularly brutal to a CBS morning reporter a couple of years ago.....oof!.....and then there's that famous, brutal John Davidson interview, though to be fair, Ringo was soused!!! (how about the finale episode of his radio show, "Ringo's Yellow's Submarine", ouch!!!!
