There are pics of Lennon with DJs in the studio seen on web sites wearing a light colored hat, but that afternoon when he came out at Channel 6, he wore no hat. ReplyDeleteRichard beckhoff of Philadelphia Pennsylvania took those pictures the heritage of John waving and signing autographs along with a series of others on this Sunday of the helping hand Marathon. I was there with my good friend Tom bonawitz electric a picture of him and John holding hands together and a series of others. I spoke with John both days Saturday and Sunday. So let it be known that those are my pictures. But I'm fine with other people enjoying them.RBECKHOFF89@GMAIL.COM
ReplyDeleteOn Sunday when John came out side for the first go around,My good friend Tom and I climbed on top of a truck the parked close( later moved )the door John had just came from, the vantage point was good for the first pictures. I did call out to John. He resonated and looked up and gave me a wave. This is one of my most favorite exposures ..The Rest of the series I photographed were close up and John was great. My friend offered a larger donation if john would pose with him John agreed I took 2 of those. I spoke with John a little bit on Saturday and a little more on Sunday. A a few interesting facts wwith those photos as well

I looked to see if any of mine from that day turned towards where you were (http://www.TSGart.com/pics/051875.jpg) ... nope but that would have been cool.
ReplyDeleteIn retrospect I was so excited to be there I got his autograph his hands spoke with him on Saturday and Sunday took photographs. Not in one photo hahaha
DeleteRichard, thanks for the info. Do you have photos from the Saturday when you saw John? From all the photos taken by people over the three days, I have trouble pinning what pic was taken on what day. Thanks to you, I can now ID the Sunday ones. In others John is wearing a blue shirt and cap. In others he has his white shirt, cap, etc. Would like to know which day is which.
ReplyDeleteAll of the photos I took.were on the second day Sunday.John came outside two or three times on Saturday and Sunday to shake hands and sign autographs meet and greet fans. All my photographs one of them but I'm really proud of is what he waved. Just came out and started signing autographs. If I remember correctly I was on top of a pizza truck you're the crowd. I call to John so look up. He gave me away even a smile. Very cool Richard Beckhoff
