At home with John

I know that I have posted these photos before, but here they are without watermarks.   I just love everything about these photos.   I just can't wrap my mind around what it would have been like to have met John at Kenwood in 1967.    But at least we have photos like these to give us a small glimpse of what it was like.

Trading signatures

I found this photo at the Beatles photo vault on tumblr.

Dirty weekend fans

These photos were taken by Lucille Azzarito and Patti O'Neil.   I have been doing a bit of reading about Paul's L.A. trip in 1968.     He was extremely open and welcoming to the fans while he was there.

My niece would kill me if you didn't sign this.....

Ringo signs another one for someone's daughter, niece, neighbor, friend of a friend and Maureen just waits during the Help premiere.

I'm feeling down

The top photo has been posted here before, and I never understood why George was bent down and signing an autograph while wearing a tuxedo.    Not that the "new" 2nd photo helps out a whole lot, but it does a bit.  Does the fan appear to have a crutch?   Maybe George is signing her cast from a broken leg?  Either that or he is signing a poster?    Either way, George was a good sport to bend down like that while all dressed up for his movie premiere to sign something for some fans.  You don't see Paul back there doing such a thing.  Haha!

Totally Torquay

Are there some Beatles up there???

I found these great photos from when the Beatles were at the Imperial hotel in Torquay at this tumblr blog.

The photo of the older woman meeting George is adorable!

Father of the year 1964

Someone's daughter or son was going to be a happy person when Daddy came home with these Beatles autographs after the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964!  Look at the smile on his face, "My kids are going to vote me to be Father of the Year!"   And yeah....if my Dad brought home Beatles autographs, I would be talking him up to anyone who would listen.  Heck, my Dad bought me vintage Beatles badges at a flea market last year and I still think he is the rave!

Stella first autograph

This was taken when Paul took his family to see the original Broadway cast of Annie in New York.   I would have loved to have seen the original Broadway cast and to have seen Paul there as well.   I bet Stella enjoyed the show!

The album may be "new" but autograph signing sure isn't

Paul thinking as he steps out of the car, "Oh no.  I have been spotted by a fan.  She is holding the new Cd.  She is going to want an autograph.  I am so not in the mood for this today."

Paul's "guy"--"I am sorry ma'am but Sir McCartney is very busy today.  There is no times for autographs."  Fan:  "But I just love you so much Paul.  I have been waiting 50 years to meet you.  And I love your album.  It is great.  I love you!"  Paul:  "Oh...sure...I will sign one for you.  What is your name?"

Fan:  "Thank you thank!  You don't know what this means to me.  I have been to 20 of your concerts and buy all your albums.  You have always been my favorite."
Paul:  "It is not a problem at all.   Here you go."  Paul thinking:  "You are lucky I am not Ringo."

The Beatles Experience

Paul signs just about everything handed to him, including this strange The Beatles Experience (Paul McCartney Alive and Dead?) comic book.   I wonder if Paul even notices what he is signing.
