Here are two very nice ebay auction photos of John (and part of Ringo) that were taken in Houston during the press conference there in 1965. John looks like he is being very serious here.
Perhaps he's being serious because he's concerned about losing his voice! If I remember correctly, his voice is in total shambles for the Houston concerts - both of which are available as soundboards but which are hard to get through since it literally hurts to listen to John shred his voice, he had to have been in pain. After the first concert, especially, all you can think of is how he's going to get through another version of Twist and Shout, and Dizzy Miss Lizzie!
