Italian fans

Last month a fan named Andrea sent me these photos that she scanned and the little stories that go along with them from a book she has about the Beatles in Italy.    Silly me forgot that she sent them until today when I was cleaning out my email!   Ooops!  So sorry Andrea that I didn't post these gems sooner.      Be sure to check out Andrea's blog for some great Beatles photos.  :)

The fan, Rossana, with George got his parents' signatures & a dedication in Rome on June 27, 1965. (Since George's parents where in the city for a vacation coinciding with the band's tour, according to the book.)
She'd talked her parents into going to Rome & booking a room in the hotel The Beatles were staying... and ended up talking a waiter into taking her with him to their room. She had John, Paul & Ringo sign her book "The True Story of The Beatles" by Billy Shepard, and since George was her favorite, she asked where he was. "John told me that he had a toothache. At the moment I didn't understand what he was saying, so he started screaming miming a toothache... I have to say that John was particularly nice and funny.During the press conference also, I was able to stay close, leaning ion the side of the couch where they were sitting." That's when the photo was taken.

The other fan, Daniela, met the band in Milan on June 24, 1965. She got the concert program signed by all four Beatles and she had her picture taken on the terrace of the hotel during the photo call, with John (and George peeking in in the background). Daniela chatted quite a bit with John and George. George also gave her a pair of his sunglasses. "I had the feeling that John and George were the ones really getting along... I had a great feeling with John, but he was really respectful, and anyway I was always with my mother... George was so unique."
