Hi Hi Hi Paul!

Hi Paul!   Well friends, I have big big big news to share.   If you are friends with me (Sara not Meet the Beatles for Real) on facebook, I have already shared this, but I have kept it to myself long enough.

I am going to the Paul McCartney concert in Memphis, Tennessee on May 26th.   Okay that in and of itself isn't big news, although it is exciting.    But I did something that many people only dream of doing, I went ahead and ordered the VIP tickets.   That means that I going to go to the soundcheck and I have third row, center seats.

As you all know, I have never met Paul or Ringo "for real" which is the irony of this blog.   It is my lifelong dream to be able to write my own story for this blog about how I met one of the Beatles and have a photo to prove it.    I know that I most likely never will meet Paul McCartney; however I also know that if it was going to happen this could be my one and only chance in life.    I am totally at a blank as to what I could put on a sign that might get his attention.   Even if I don't "meet" him, if he read my sign or even acknowledged my existence, I would be happy.

If anyone has any ideas of how I could get Paul's attention please contact me.   I do not want a tattoo (not even if it is Paul's signature) so that idea is out (besides it has been done).   Just really I need is something short and clever to put on a sign.

The best idea will be getting a Paul McCartney package of Beatles fanzines that focus on Paul.   I am not sure exactly what all will be in it at this point, but I am working on it.

    2. That is funny, but I bet Paul has seen that one before.

  2. Souncheck!! Man, that will be cool.

Forget the sign, and wear a Sgt Pepper uniform complete with moustache (the bigger the better -in fact, a ridiculously large one might get a result)... and borrow a bassoon or something too ...

  5. Congratulations, Sara! That will be a great time. I'm excited to see Paul this summer too.

Do you think a sign that says "639 People Want Me to Meet You" would attract his attention? 639 is your number of FaceBook followers, who I assume would like you to have your own meet a Beatle for real encounter. Just a thought.

    1. Hi Kristen! Where are you seeing Paul this summer? Memphis is really the only place where I can see him because I will be in London/Liverpool/Hamburg for 10 days in July and most of the dates of the other concerts conflict with my trip. So I am excited when I return to read about the other shows. You will have to let me know how your concert was.

The sign idea isn't a bad one. If I could figure out how many people view this blog. For example I know that yesterday the blog had 1453 hits. I am not sure if someone comes here more than once a day if that counts. But something like "Over 1000 people want me to meet you for real." (sort of getting the name of the blog in the sign as well?). Still thinking about all of this and trying to take it in.

    2. Your summer is sounding better and better. The concert in Milwaukee will probably be the highlight of mine.

I thought about working in the "for real" bit as well but was afraid that it would be too long, especially since it would probably be lost on Paul (unfortunately).

Also, didn't you also win a trivia contest of sorts? Another sign idea would be "Stump the [insert year] Beatles Trivia Champ." That's another unique angle that you have going for you.
