Times like these, when John was concerned for Yoko's healthy and safety and wondering about what was going to happen with the drug bust that occurred, it must have been hard to always have a crowd of people around. But there they were, and I admit it, I would have gone to see them as well. Most likely the fans wanted to go to send their love and support to John and Yoko. But from the look on Yoko's face once they made it to the car, it just had to have been frightening all around.
The first photo puzzles me - that person in front of Peter Brown being led into car does not look like John - hair too bright, light shirt and jacket seems to be different too. So who is it? Could it be Pattie Harrison and this is actually a photo from George`s and Pattie`s appearance in front of the court?

ReplyDeleteFirst photo isn't Marylebone Magistrates Court..presumably it's Paddington Green Police Station where they were taken to be charged (note sign to Paddington Station)
ReplyDelete100% that first photo IS Marylebone Magistrates Court (not Paddington). I used to work around the corner and I recognise the motorway directions sign behind. Sadly the building has had a major makeover in receint years and is now Westminster Magistrates Court.
ReplyDeleteAlso the first pic was taken when they came back to Marylebone and received fine (28 November 1968). The other three pics were taken when they first appeared at Marylebone on 19 October, 1968
