I wish all readers of the Meet the Beatles for Real blog a happy, healthy and safe new year! I am a little "freaked out" because I do not have very much in the works for January for this blog. I usually have a back-log of photos and stories planned for each month, and for the first time in the 2 1/2 years I have been doing this, I do not have enough material for the entire month. So if you have something you would like to share, a photo or story, please by all means send me an email! In the meantime I will keep searching for things and most likely will find many Beatle goodies.
I hope each of you have a great 2012. Anyone have any Beatle plans for the new year? I am beginning to save money for a trip to Liverpool and Hamburg in 2013. My biggest plan for 2012 is to lose a substantial amount of weight. I am going to do this by rewarding myself with Beatle goodies (such as DVDs and books) for every 20 pounds I lose. I hope this actually motivates me. Thanks again to everyone for the support of this blog and for putting up with this fat girl in Illinois who teaches reading and is a little too obsessed with the Beatles.
dear sara, i wish you and all my friends at your blog a wonderful 2012! like you, i am determined to lose weight this year, and have been on an eating plan with a nutritionist for the past 2 months. hard as it is, there is life without chocolate! i can't let a brownie rule my head - i am stronger than that! all my loving, i will send to you.

ReplyDeleteI have some pretty exciting Beatles plans this year, actually ... in March, I'm going to England to visit my sister. I went when I was 7, but I don't remember it, so this will basically be my first time!! I'm going to spend 2 days in Liverpool seeing everything, and then a week in London!! I am absolutely psyched. :)
PS: George is adorable in that picture. Who let him try to open up the champagne bottle? He looks befuddled. :)

@since 1963: Absolutely! I will take lots and lots of pictures, and I'll post them to my blog, since I suppose they aren't appropriate for this one, seeing as none of the Beatles will be in them (unless I happen to run into Paul at MPL, but if that happens you might not see any pictures, since I'd be dead from shock).
