The real magic was between John and Paul. George joined the band on Paul's insistance, and the rest is history. I like 'How do you sleep?', but it's very harsh on Paul. I can understand John's pain and sadly at the time he was being influenced by Klien and Yoko for different reasons. But I can't help thinking that George enjoyed himself too much playing guitar on this song!
One of those songs that doesn't bear repeating. They worked out a lot of their angst, resentment, buried grief and immaturity through their music after the break up, both together and apart.
J & G together -magic

ReplyDeleteGeorge enjoyed himself too much?! John seemed to enjoy himself 1000x more than George during the entire experience..
DeleteRingo was with them in the studio and he asked John to tone down his lyrics. On the other hand George ......
