I don't think this is a real photograph of Jimi Hendrix and George Harrison. It looks sort of cut and paste to me. But -- I could totally be wrong and so I thought I would post it and share it to the masses and get your thoughts.
It's fake. The original image is in colour and the person sitting next to Jimi is, in fact, Eric Clapton. The pic was taken at the Speakeasy Club, London in about Feb 1967.
The original (as in Real) photo shows Jimi alongside (ironically, in light of future "events" with George's first wife) ...Eric Clapton.

ReplyDeleteYou're right to be dubious. Google "Hendrix and Clapton" and you'll see the original image...
ReplyDeleteI think someone saw this and posted it to our Beatles chat page. It got solved pretty quick. Eric Clapton was in the original shot.
