In 'The Longest Cocktail Party', it's mentioned that press coverage the next day was practically nil except for speculation about the 'mystery blonde' Paul was seen with (who was Linda). And I seem to recall one of Britain's 'best-loved comedians' had the audacity to drop dead the same day. But I've never been able to find out who the comedian was. Any guesses?
The comedian was called Kenneth Horne who died of a heart attack on Feb 14th 1969 whilst hosting an awards show at the Dorcester Hotel in London..he was a radio comic although appeared on tv shows like the Benny Hill show
