Top photo shows George with Larry Knechtel who, along with Joe Osborne in the third photo, was a member of the legendary group of L.A. session players, the Wrecking Crew. Knechtel played the piano that opens Simon and Garfunkel’s classic song “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. He later became a member of the 1970s group Bread (who I saw in concert in 1972 while in college at the University of Texas in Austin).
