Here I am again asking for people to join me over at Meet the Beatles ...For Real 2.0, the Patreon for this page.   I post super rare photos and stories that you won't find on this page.    Here is a message from one of the subscribers, Ray:

The 2 pics you've just posted are treasures, as are most of the others. Please put this note on your regular site, as I urge all true Beatle fans to join up quickl, and see the VERY rare and wonderful pics to be only be found on your special site. I'm a first gen fan, andit'ss not often I see pics I've seen before (or dozens of others taken at the same session) but this site delivers fabulous unseen photos that can still thrill me. Join u,p guys!

Thanks Ray!  If you want to join, it is $4.00 a month.  For that price, isn't it worth giving a try?

    1. No. I am still putting time and effort into the original MTBFR because I love doing it and I love the Beatles. As I have mentioned, I resigned from my teaching job and am taking on a job as an instructional coach for a textbook company. To start off, the new job is part time without health insurance. So I have been trying to come up with ideas on how to supplement my income to help me pay for the health insurance. I can't get another part time job because the hours of this new job aren't consistent. So I have been taking online surveys, selling things on eBay and I thought I would try a Patreon for MTBFR because it is something I enjoy doing and apparently a lot of people visit this site. Tons and tons of podcast, YouTube channels and blogs have Patreons. I thought it was a pretty common thing these days and that if I had a hook of posting some of the things I always wanted to post here, but never felt comfortable doing, then people would be willing to pay a little bit to get that content. I guess I was wrong. Really, I was just trying to find a way to make a couple extra hundred dollars a month while doing what I already love to do.

    1. Do you not think there is a difference between a casual fan and a hard core fan? What words would you use to describe the difference?

      Delete
    2. come on now -why should there really ever be a difference

      Delete
    3. Because people who are hard core fans spend a lot of time studying the band. People who are casual fans like the song Hey Jude. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a casual fan. I am a casual fan of a lot of groups and I would not consider myself to be a "real fan" of those groups. (or movie or TV show or video game, etc.)

  3. am finding the statement of true fans offensive

    1. Alright -- so I did some asking and some self-reflection as to what would be offensive, because I do not want to hurt anyone at all. I am sorry if you took things that way. People that do not join my silly 2nd group are no less of a fan that people that do. I truly believe that 80-90% of the people who are here and 100% of people that take the time to leave a comment are real Beatle fans. Please accept my apology.

  4. I use the term die-hard fan to describe us sickos. 😁 There is no debate to that term, I hope. 🎀🎸πŸ₯πŸ‘

  5. Its comically ridiculous that after the years and years of hard work and effort youve put into this sight, you suddenly catch s**t from people. And for what? Making a paltry few bucks on the side? Just ignore that section of the peanut gallery and keep doing what youre doing.

    1. Not at this time. I am still a little peeved that people were so against the patreon for this site while no one else with a patreon got the hate I received about it. Maybe later on I will reconsider.

  7. sorry to hear that- would love to see you continue the whole real history like 2:52 pm on this site too...nyc64
