    1. Prefer the Beatles to all of them solo. Never the same.

  3. Paul trying out a right-handed bass, says "No thanks!"

  4. We are spoiled. It's easy to knock Paul's Wings period, but hey, he had a tough act to follow. Sure, The Wings era wasnt perfect, but alot of artists wouldve given ANYTHING to have written some of Paul's GREAT 70s songs.

  5. We are spoiled indeed with having known the Beatles as the greatest ever. They had something together that not even they individually could follow. There's nothing wrong in expressing this.

  6. Wings had some very good albums. The public and critics alike, kept comparing them to the Beatles, and expected Paul to write profound music. When at the time, he was living happily on a farm with his family, surrounded with beautiful nature and peacefulness. Obviously, he's not going to record deep music!

  7. Paul deliberately rebelled against John and Yoko and George's 'deep' songs after the split. However, writing about family life and nature is just as profound in its own way. Music critics back then were a little shallow. All of them had highs and lows solo.

  8. And there lay the problem.

  9. There is no you can be as hungry at 32 as you were when you were you 22 (John pretty much said the same thing in 1980). Paul once told Nick Lowe that he got tired of trying to constantly one-up himself, and instead focused on being happy and being himself. Nothing wrong with that, because most of us get to a point like that sometime in our lives.

    1. The comparison between Paul's songs from one era to another can be startling. Never a "fan" of "My Love" my mind and heart changed completely when I heard him sing ML with his whole soul at a concert in LA decades later. We still recall that beautiful moment and remain grateful for those amazing concerts.

  11. My love is draggy and awful?! It doesn't have much words, but Paul's voice is melodic and coming from his heart. And yes it's about Linda. I only followed his carreer, when the Beatles broke up. Never cared for the nay sayers, and I'm not going to start now.

    1. as we're all entitled to our opinions , I didn't like most of Paul's solo music just like those who didn't like George's
