    1. I don't think so. It's a reasonable comment.

  4. At the camera, not to the camera!

  5. What on earth happened to Paul? The other three Beatles never behaved like this, neither did the other Wings members. Grow up Paul and Linda, you weren't seven years old.

    1. Aint no crime for a little bit of irreverence and childish fun once in awhile. Never hurt anyone. You should try it some time.

    2. Lol, it was a LOT more than once in a while. Paul went from most popular Beatle to the least popular in the UK and commonwealth countries by the end of the 70s and that's the truth. If you don't think that is sad then you don't truly care about him. It was weed. People were turned off by Paul and Linda's arrests, their silly peace signs and constant gurning. Where did the thoughtful and truly funny boy from Liverpool go to? Brits have a great sense of humour actually and some people here should just accept that not everyone finds this stuff funny.

    3. You're exegerating. I come from a commonwealth country, and the majority of us love Paul and Linda and Wings, just as much as we love the other three and The Beatles. The harsh criticism, always came from the English public and their critics. They never accepted Linda as Paul's wife, and her being in his band. And English women were jealous of her. Yes they did smoke a lot of weed, but by then, unfortunately, they had become addicted to it. Paul has his flaws, just like the other three. But somehow, some people here seem to enjoy downplaying Paul, whenever a particular photo comes up. And it's real sad that the same people who were harsh on Linda, couldn't stop praising her, when she got sick and died. Hypocrisy at its best! Whether we like it or not, we cannot change history, so all we need is to let go. And stop blaming Paul because things didn't go as we wanted them to. Boy, back then, the English media had a field day, especially the tabloids. It was all too cruel.

    4. Agree, sadly so, 3/4 at 6:08 a,m.
To this day, no one group or place in the world is more harsh towards Paul and his personal life, in particular his first two marriages, and his talents and achievements, than his own country. Paul is nothing less than a living national treasure, beloved citizen of the world, and someone who has made more people happy in one lifetime than his critics will if they lived a dozen more times.
      So there.

    5. agree with 2/28 as that is true

    6. March 4 6.08am. I disagree with you. I have lived both in Britain and commonwealth countries and I can tell you for a fact that in the 80s and 90s, whenever music tastes were discussed, Paul was barely mentioned. Fans on other Beatle sites have also mentioned that it was almost embarrassing to admit to liking him, desite his album sales. A lot of it was to do with the unfair lionization of John after his murder, but Linda cost Paul his credibility and it's easy to deny that in retrospect. That's fan worship talking. Paul still struggles in comparison with John despite his equal musical genius. It's wrong and unfair but it exists. And yes it's true that before her death Linda could do no right and after her death she could do no wrong but to paint her as a person completely without flaws is unrealistic. The hypocrisy for people here to constantly attack Yoko and yet be outraged when Linda is criticized for pulling a face is galling. Nobody said it was a crime. And please, will people stop bashing British fans. The Beatles would be nothing without them and long long before Ed Sullivan. Nobody has a problem with Olivia Harrison or Barbara Bach.

  6. This must have been their "pulling faces" phase. Fortunately, faces don't freeze in that same pulled state. :)

  7. Grow up?! I hope, you at least realize that Paul, today, is an eighty year old man, and that Linda is dead. I'm sure she needed someone to make her laugh during her serious illness which led to her death. All this bashing for a mere photo, that was taken in the early seventies. I remember those years as a fun loving decade, with happy music on the radio, and no violence on tv. They were propably tired of being asked the same repetive questions, and did love tagging their kids along with them. This all changed after John was killed.A couple of you here, need to lighten up and have a good laugh!

    1. You can disagree but you don't have to be unpleasant. I don't think we need a lecture on Paul's history especially those of us who grew up with the Beatles from the beginning.

    2. And you are very sensitve.

    3. I'm not being unpleasant, I'm just stating facts, which you on the other hand don't want to hear. And we both know why, don't we?! But I don't want to go there again, because we are never going to agree. Enough said, bye bye.

    4. Linda's been making a variation on that face since 1969. See "Get Back" part 3. Definitely got more extreme over time.

    5. She didn't commit a crime! Jeez, the total dislike for this woman from English fans (women), on this site, is totally outrageous!

    6. English women fans? That is a very prejudiced and sexist comment.

  8. Every day I visit this site, some days more than once. The unnecessarily petulent, archaic bitchiness that's prevalent recently over some pics (this pic, a pic of a pony across Abbey Road, Maggie-Jane pics)...so tiresome. Used to wonder if Paul ever came across this site -- sure hope he doesnt now.

  9. I think everyone has said everything that needs to be said, and so I am not longer accepting commented under this photo.
