  2. The guy on the right is Roy Gerber (1925-2007), a talent agent, manager and booking agent who, along with Norman Weiss, represented the Beatles for their North American tours through General Artists Corp. (GAC). Gerber was the real-life inspiration for Oscar Madison in "The Odd Couple".

  3. Gerber convinced Stan Irwin, who was the entertainment director at the Sahara Hotel and Casino, to host the Beatles at the Las Vegas Convention Center in 1964. Every hotel turned them down and the Sahara was the last on the list to pitch....
