George was sick back at the hotel so Neil filled in for him as they were rehearsing and going over camera angles with the Ed Sullivan Show crew. This is the first photo that I've ever seen of Neil in front of the "arrows" set. I'd only ever seen him with the white "Beatles" backdrop which was later decided to not use. (MarkZapp)
