Sad days for Paul's fans

Out of respect for Paul, Linda, and the fans, there are many, many stories from November 1970 that I have chosen not to share.   They all make everyone there looks terrible.    It was a difficult time to be a Paul McCartney fan and it was even more difficult to be Paul or Linda McCartney.    Someday I want these stories to be released because they are all part of the big story of Paul's life.   However -- right now does not seem like the right time.

  3. What? I have no idea what's being (or not being) discussed. Online searching doesn't turn up anything special about this period. Can you at least throw us some sort of clue or hint or resource?

    1. Paul and Linda were very defensive and mean to the fans (many times) and some of the fans gave it right back to them. Cruel words were exchanged and documented in some of the early 1971 fan newsletters that I have in my collection. The stories don't really make anyone look good. However -- we can't deny that this stuff ever happened. It was a difficult time for everyone. And like NYC64 said -- some days were better than others. Thankfully everyone moved forward and things got better.

    2. If you ever decide to post them it would be greatly appreciated. I think it's important for fans to know Paul was a more complicated character than he's often made out to be. And to be fair the others have stories posted from when they were in bad moods.

    3. It isn't Paul that I am trying to protect by not sharing the stories. Many of the fans in the stories are in their 60s and 70s and I do not want to show them in a negative light because 1. They were young at the time 2. They didn't understand what was going on personally with Paul at that time 3. I don't want these fans to be harassed by anyone, especially for things they did over 50 years ago.

  4. I think anything Paul or Linda said or did back then would be excusable. They didn't owe anyone anything. The fans didn't know what was really going on with the Beatles breakup.

    1. however don't think it's unreasonable to treat fans with a smile or "hi" and leave it at that
