Were Paul and George the first Beatles to actually meet? Does anyone know roughly when those two first met? I don't think that I have ever heard the details on their meeting. (MarkZapp)
It's known they met on the bus going to school, as they were only a few stops apart. So I believe they did know each other before Paul met John at the Woolton fete, possibly by as much as two years.
They apparently met by taking the bus to school. The specific date not sure. George had just turned 15 when he first met/auditioned for John. So there's that.
Not by two years. More. I believe Paul and George knew each other when they were both around 9/10 years old. There may be some Beatles Anthology photos to prove it

ReplyDeleteP.S. -- in the first Beatles Monthly issue, George said that he first met John at a fish n chips shop near their school. No date listed.
