I have had the wonderful privilege of interviewing and speaking to so many Beatle fans from around the world that were fortunate enough to meet the Beatles in person. Those that met them in 1964 all tell me the same thing, "I first met Derek Taylor and he was wonderful!" Derek was usually the first connection a fan had with The Beatles and he had a way of talking to the girls with respect and kindness. He personally arranged for fan clubs to meet the boys and made a lot of people's dreams come true.
Derek came in and out of the lives of The Beatles, but he was always an amazing friend the entire time.
Happy birthday to Derek Taylor.
