  2. The photo is from November 1971 when Ringo visited Norway to do some filming for the Cilla Black TV show special "Cilla In Scandinavia". One of the film sections from that show was the clip of Ringo performing playback to "It Don't Come Easy", sitting in front of a piano in the middle of a snowy winter landscape (a place called Geilo, some hours' drive north of Oslo, years later some of the snow scenes from one of the first Star Wars films were also filmed there). This clip has later become an official video for the song. Anyway, during the days Ringo was in Norway there was a national telethon in charity for refugees from the third world, and he agreed to participate and promote the charity case. The only problem was that Ringo was a VERY happy camper back in those days, and was anything but sober. I don't know how many times he appeared on screen, but this photo is supposedly a still from that telethon, whose motto was "Think - and give" (Nor.: "Tenk - og gi"). So our dear Ringo, quite blotto by the time (note white wine bottle to the right corner in the still photo), had his own way of saying it: "Drink - and give!"

  5. It was actually April 1971 that Ringo was in Norway, our first visit from a real life Beatle.
