Absolutely NOT Dennis Wilson! It's radio deejay Scott Shannon, who was then at station WQXI in Atlanta. He was given the special "Goodnight Vienna" award for his work in discovering and breaking the "No No Song" from the LP. (I assume that the "No No Song" is the single mounted in the award.) Cropped out of the photo with only his hair showing at right is Bruce Wendell, who was Capitol Records' National Promotion Manager. Scott Shannon now hosts the morning show for WCBS-FM in New York City. He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2006.
Dennis Wilson, right?
ReplyDeleteNot even close! (MarkZapp)
ReplyDeleteDon't know who, but NOT Dennis Wilson!

ReplyDeleteOne thing more. When Scott Shannon received this award from Ringo in '75, he was Program Director for WQXI in Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteLou Ferrigno?
