An online Beatles fan club for and about Beatle fans
OK, for those of you who are Beatle Gear heads...that's the standard Rickenbacker tremolo bar and tailpiece on John's 325. However, the famous John Lennon had the famous Bigsby tremolo bar and tailpiece installed on his famous Rick 325. So is this the "Miami" 325 that was presented to him in 1964 when the band was doing the Ed Sullivan Show?
yes,It's the 325 from Miami. After he received his new guitar, he don't use the old 325, with the Bingsby. But, in fact, he got 2 new Rickenbacker in 1965, for not reproducing, the accident of the christmas show, when he had to play another rickenbacker, after the 325 form Miami had a big shock when he left the stage. The Amp in the second photo is the new Amp for the US tour.
Raphael, thank you very much for the information! I appreciate it.
