July 3, 1969 - London -- John and Yoko were expected to make an appearance at a reception for the single "Give Peace a Chance." Because of the car accident, they were still in Scotland in the hospital and would not make it. John reached out to his best buddy, Ringo. Ringo and Maureen cut their trip to France short in order to come back home to London and attend this reception. Ringo is a good friend.
