George got pissed at the crowd booing when he tried to get the audience to do the "Christ! Krishna!" chant. He said, "I'd die for this" and pointed to an OM sign. "But I wouldn't die for this" and pointed to the Les Paul.
I saw him on that tour at Nassau Colessium back in Dec. 1974 and he was in a foul mood. Show was ok . Billy Preston and the rest of the band sort of bailed him out. His voice was shot and he was not in a good mood. Supposidly John was in the audience. It was the first time I saw a Beatle in concert
