The concert with the fans on the stage

I don't know how on February 12, 1964, the fans that were seated on the stage while the Beatles performed were able to contain themselves.   This was when Beatlemania just started in the United States and girls were literally throwing themselves at the Beatles, but yet these fans on the stage didn't move at all.    I would love to hear a first-hand account from a fan that was on the stage and what she was thinking during the Carnegie Hall Show.

  1. I'm sure that the police men on and near the stage helped a lot.(MarkZapp)

  2. I'm seeing a lot of moms, dads, and little kids, not 14 year old girls.

  3. I’m sitting on the stage, second row on the right. Girl with white blouse wearing a necklace with black charm. I was 14 years old and a crazy fan, of coarse. My uncle knew the police lieutenant who was on the security detail. He was on horseback in the street when I met up with him. He walked me and my friend through the hall and sat us on stage. The Beatles came on stage and noise was deafening. I could hear John complaining. Paul said, Let’s just play, and they did. What an experience!
