A good cause but............... After their first appearance on The Morecambe And Wise Show, The Beatles performed a concert in the ballroom of the exclusive Grosvenor House hotel in aid of cerebral palsy sufferers.
Not part of their 1963 Autumn Tour, the event was a cabaret-style floor show before an audience dressed in evening wear. The Beatles reportedly didn't enjoy the experience, particularly when the supposedly respectable crowd rushed the stage at the end of the show, and made sure similar engagements didn't take place in future
