I've never been able to encapsulate the sense of wonder at where they started and where they got to in such a short time-span, and no Beatles writer I've read, however good, has managed it either. We can get it by focusing on photos like these and remembering where they were headed, but to catch that amazing destiny or that potential in words is so elusive. Information won't do. But that's not to say it can't be done.
