I ride this train regularly---twice a week!

Paul was seen yesterday riding in the first class section of a train in London.    I rode train much like this one many times when I was in London last week, but I didn't see Paul on them.

Paul was riding without anyone else.   It is nice to see that he is more independent than I ever recall in the past.    Nancy is a great mate for him and they are a lovely couple, but I like that she doesn't go everywhere with him.    Paul rode on the train alone and read a little while he traveled.   He refused photographs and autographs but he was happy to chat a little with fans and answer questions about his upcoming album and tour.

Of course one fan was able to sneak a photograph with his/her phone when Paul was reading.

  1. wow! I will have to keep an eye out for my friendly neighbourhood Beatle in my train! Apparently according to some of the Apple Scruff even at the height of the Beatles career Paul would still get a bus around London

  2. It's great that he holds on to his roots and stays grounded however he can. I remember when he did that pop video that photographed him riding the Tube: some folk thought it was a millionaire posing as everyman, but he'd already insisted on keeping connected through public transport even through Beatlemania. 'Caught the bus in seconds flat' isn't just a line with this fellow.
And this great train shot you found proves he's still diligent about that mindset. Good on you, PM.
And here's the pop video on the Tube I meant = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VoKlviZUog

  4. As much as we may love this current up-to-the-minute photo of Paul, once again, his privacy was violated. We are rewarding the photographer for taking the picture not seeming to realize that Paul hD requested no photos.😟

    1. You're right... I was thinking the same thing. But, there would be no documentation of this and that would be a shame. All we would've had to go on was the passenger's story that they saw him on a train. Paul has to know that we, the public, don't get the opportunity to have brushes with greatness and you don't get any greater than him. And with our heroes leaving us, seemingly regularly of late, it's great to take the opportunity to capture those moments without disturbing them.

    3. He declined photos with fans. However--maybe he told the fan that he/she could snap a photo of him, just didn't want to pose. John Lennon would tell fans that and I think Paul has said the same. Paul realizes that nowadays everyone has a camera with them and very little can stop them.

    4. this snap was apparently on the sly cause Paul looks calm and it's price of fame really

  6. all looks unlikely to me. June, yes, scarf, yes, hat, I don't think so!
It's unlikely Paul would be on a train between 10pm and 5am
which it must be, as it's dark outside. ( June )
The scarf and coat are to cover the four pound suit.

    1. perhaps the scarf is to protect his throat as a lot of singers do this

    2. haha sorry I meant COAT and scarf!
It's been a nice summer here in england and on what cooler days there have been its no way cold enough for such a big hat and scarf! Unless Paul is feeling the cold in his old age! :)
