Never say "never ever..."
This letter from George's mum must have been written about 50 years ago. There was a lot of rumors going around that the Beatles were breaking up, and it was nice for Louise to assure this fan, Kathy, that the guys were "never, ever" breaking up and "we will always be a group." I wish that was true---but in 1967 the turmoil hadn't yet begun.

Mrs. Harrison's writing of the word "George" is nearly identical to that of her son's.(MarkZapp)
ReplyDeleteAy ! I was about to say the same thing Mark !!
ReplyDeleteProbably from having to sign his name so many times in replies to fan letters!
ReplyDeletethis is wonderful - she was a very special lady
ReplyDeleteShe was a lovely lady! I never met her but we traded letters. I used to see her son much more than she did, of course, being outside the studios from 67 to 69. I sent her photos.
ReplyDeleteI just remembered... She sent me one of those fan club photo postcards with a George signature that looked quite legit to me. I sent it to Paul Wane from Tracks and he confirmed it was his mother's signature of his name.
