I'm convinced George Harrison had his photo taken with Garry and Hugh was because they were both from Northern, New Jersey. Gary grew up in Creskill and Hugh grew up in Hackensack.
Well said. Hugh's playing on Ram is perfect, as it is on so many other sessions he did. He said that when they started working on Uncle Albert he asked Paul to trust him. His playing was so spot-on that Paul gave him free reign for the rest of the sessions. Paul's played with great guitarists in his solo career but for me no one beat Hugh McCracken's work.
