This photo of George was taken in the autumn of 2001 by George's old friend, Klaus Voormann. George was showing Klaus around the gardens of Friar Park on this buggy and Klaus took a photo.
Great pic, but I'm afraid it wasn`t taken in autumn´01. According to Klaus Voorman's book Warum spielst du Imagine nicht auf dem weißen Klavier, John?, it was shot in George´s home at Friar Park, March, 2001 just after his first lung cancer removement. About May, 2001, George left to Switzerland and later to USA and, unfortunately, from then to his passing day, he never come back to Britain
