  2. As much as I like John, he was pretty scummy doing what he did to Cynthia throughout their marriage.Cheating on your wife almost the time you were together is really low.But the way he treated Cynthia (and Julian) when he wanted out of his marriage to her was really disgusting. Shame on him for treating her so badly in the years to follow.

  3. I think John really loved Cyn, and she him. It just wasn't meant to be. I also think he loved Cyn at some level or the other to his dying day. She was the mother of his child after all!

  4. I don't think you can treat someone so badly as John did to Cynthia if you love them at any degree

  5. I don't think John's decision to leave Cyn for Yoko was a knee jerk reaction. He gave it enough thought, even though all the revisionism makes it seem that he didn't. It wasn't as if he'd just let Yoko and taken off with her leaving Cyn and Julian behind. Take Cyn's account for example, he was still contemplating whether it would be Cyn or Yoko even after Cyn found them together in their bedroom. It wasn't that simple. John did give his and Cyn's marriage a chance unlike what most people say - he tried to get her involved with everything, with touring, drugs, etc, but they were two very different people. Unfortunately, when a relationship goes sour, add to that Yoko's insecurity with Cyn, it's not going to be a very happy ending.

  6. having experienced a cheating spouse myself is a terrible way to live and divorce can sometimes destroy you especially when you have children - Cyn really was better off without John in the end
